What's involved?

Step 1 of 6
Choose the products you would like to certify
We can advise on our testing availability and help you prioritize your device list.
Step 2 of 6
Sign our WWHA agreement
This lays out clearly each party’s responsibilities to each other.
Step 3 of 6
Pay the annual fee payment of 500 Swiss Francs

Step 4 of 6
Our expert team tests devices
Let us know if you require any customizations to help our team start using your devices.
Step 5 of 6
Testing feedback is given
Not simply a pass/fail: Feedback rounds are imperative to help us address issues and keep user experience a top priority.
Step 6 of 6
Approval and WWHA badge awarded
Use the badge on product listings, web pages, packaging, and other marketing material to showcase your connection with our community.

What's required?

End-devices or hubs

We don’t currently certify items such as Zigbee sticks, Z-Wave sticks, or connecting bridges without matching end devices.

Available to the general public

If your device is going through a crowd-funding or pre-sale campaign, we will not test it until it is fully funded and in the manufacturing stage.

Available locally and not reliant on a separate cloud connection

We prioritize local control above everything else. Cloud control can be an extra, but must be opt-in only.

Available to access firmware updates directly in Home Assistant

Ideally, all devices should be able to access over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates from within our system. If this isn't possible, you must provide a way to alert users about firmware updates.
